Dictée on Monday May 4th

I am quite pleased with the progress of the students on the weekly dictées. Many are now getting 10 out 10, and others have improved dramatically. However, the tendency of children at this age is simply to memorize for the test. They often do not retain the words as part of working vocabulary for their writing. That is why I have them write every day. They should also be writing a sentence every evening. Here are the words of the week: devant, ensuite, fruit, homme, lecture, mieux, oncle, peau, pourquoi and  tellement.
